Who are eligible
Individuals who have fulfilled HKSQ requirements stated herein, and are members of HKSQ in good standing, are eligible to apply for registration.
On approval of the registration, a certificate will be issued to applicant and the registration needs to be re-certified on a tri-annual basis.
How to be certified
(A) By successful completion of the Six Sigma Black Belt Training offered by HKSQ
Individuals who had, in previous 2 years, attended the six sigma black belt training course organized by HKSQ and passed the examination, can apply for registration as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (HKSQ).
(B) By Exemption
Individuals who had, in previous 2 years, successfully completed a course accredited by HKSQ’s Accreditation Board, can apply for registration as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (HKSQ).

In both cases (A) and (B) above, the applicant has to be a member of the HKSQ in good standing when he/she applies for certification registration.
A HKSQ Certificate will be awarded to successful applicants and they will be automatically registered for 3 years as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (HKSQ), or CSSBB (HKSQ) in abbreviation, and their names will be listed on HKSQ’s website provided that he/she is a member of HKSQ in good standing.

How to be re-certified
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (HKSQ) whose registration will expire in 6 months’ time can apply for re-certification. In order to be re-certified, such applicants must (1) accumulate 12 continuing professional development (CPD) units in the past 3 years, and (2) be members of the Society for the past 3 years.
Recertification Form and CPD Log Sheet
A CSSBB (HKSQ) who is not re-certified 6 months after the expiration date of the registration will be de-registered. Applications for reinstatement of the qualification are regarded as new applications for registration.
Benefits
HKSQ members registered as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt under this scheme will be listed on HKSQ’s website.
Fees
The fees for certification and re-certification are subject to review by HKSQ from time to time
