Dr. Lotto Kim-Hung LAI

Brief Biosketch

Dr. Lotto Lai received his HD in Applied Science (1992), BSc in Applied Physics (1994), MPhil in Chemistry (1997) and EngD in Engineering Management (2010) (PT Evening) from City University of Hong Kong. Moreover, he also obtained BSc in Computer Science (1997) from Victoria University of Technology (PT Evening) and MSc in Environmental Engineering (2001) from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PT Evening).

Dr. Lotto Lai has more than 20 years education, research and industrial working experience in a position of executive level, especially in the area of quality & innovation management, testing and certification (T&C) industry. Dr. Lai served in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park for near 12 years as Senior Manager of Quality System. Moreover, He has serviced the Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ) since 1997. Furthermore, he has been appointed as a member of the Testing, Inspection and Certification Industry Training Advisory Committee (ITAC) by Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF), Education Bureau, HKSAR, since 2010. In 2016 and 2020, Dr. Lai was elected as a Fellow of the ASQ and Academician of International Academy for Quality (IAQ), respectively. He has nominated by Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC), HKSAR to be the 1st Hong Kong observer in ISO/TC 279 Innovation Management since 2016.

Dr. Lotto Lai is currently Adjunct Professor and Industry Advisor in the Department of Advance Design and System Engineering (ADSE), The City University of Hong Kong.
